Mackerel tartare with apple and beet salad

Recipe - ingredients

  • 5,3 oz SeaTales mackerel or smoked mackerel
  • 4,5 oz sour cream
  • olive oil
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • 1 gherkin, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp chives, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • black pepper
  • salt
  • 1 green apple, cut in half slices
  • 1 beet, cooked, cut into half slices
  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • juice of 1/2 lemon
  • handful of rocket

Recipe - how do you make it

Recipe - steps

  • 1 Tear the mackerel fillets. Add the sour cream, olive oil, mustard, pickle, chives and Worcestershire sauce. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Mix with a fork. Set aside.
  • 2 For the salad, mix the apple and beet together with the balsamic vinegar and lemon juice.
  • 3 Divide the apple-beet salad among the plates. Place the marble tartare on top of the salad and garnish with some chives and arugula. Enjoy!
