Flame-roasted Atlantic salmon

Our Norwegian flamed salmon is the proof that farmed fish can taste delicious. Farmed in the frigid waters of the arctic fjords, these fish develop a solid structure rich in omega-3 acids without the use of hormones or prophylactic antibiotics. We use oak and beech wood to smoke this salmon to perfection and then flambé it over an open fire to give it that distinctive fiery taste.

Origin

Our Norwegian salmon currently comes from Lebesby, Northern Norway. However, our delicious Norwegian salmon will soon come from Kvarøy, a remote island in Helgeland, just across the arctic circle in North Norway. An island with only 85 inhabitants and breathtaking views all around.

Fish with a story

The salmon farm at Kvarøy is a real family business. It’s where Alf-Gøran Knutsen and his family are pioneering in sustainable salmon farming since the company established in 1976. The cold and clean waters in North Norway give the perfect environment to grow the most delicious salmon of the highest quality.

Farming method

The pens at Kvarøy Arctic are copper-free and the salmon have 50% more space compared to other farms. There’s no use of any antibiotics, chemicals or hormones. But even more special is the feed Kvaroy gives to the salmon. This feed was especially designed for Kvaroy and is the most sustainable salmon feed there is at the moment.
