  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 tins anchovies, 1 3/4 -ounce each
  • 3 1/2 -ounce butter
  • 1 shallot, finely chopped
  • 1 lemon
  • 4 x 7-ounce Ribeye, bei Raumtemperatur
  • salt
  • black pepper

Recipe - steps

  • 1 Preheat the oven to 356 °F.
  • 2 Wrap the garlic cloves in aluminum foil and put it in the preheated oven. Squeeze one of the cloves after 20 minutes. If it is soft through and through, remove the package from the oven.
  • 3 Pull the anchovies through the butter with a fork.
  • 4 Mix the shallot and some lemon juice with the anchovy butter and set aside covered...
  • 5 Cut excess fat from the meat. Cut the fat into dice.
  • 6 Heat a frying pan and fry the cubes until golden brown. Remove from the pan and put aside.
  • 7 Sprinkle the meat with salt and pepper
  • 8 Fry the meat in the remaining fat on both sides until golden brown.
  • 9 Remove the meat from the pan, cover and let it stand for at least 5 minutes.
  • 10 Cut the meat into slices, crosswise on the filament(s).
  • 11 Serve the meat with the anchovy butter and roasted garlic cloves.
