Tuna tacos with a fresh yoghurt lime dressing

These tuna tacos are perfect as a quick meal or appetizer. Deliciously fresh with yogurt sauce and tomato salsa. Enjoy!

Recipe - ingredients

  • YOGHURT SAUCE
  • zest and juice of 1 lime
  • 3 tbsp full-fat yogurt
  • SALSA
  • 4 tomatoes, seeds removed, in small cubes
  • 2 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
  • 1/2 spring onion, cut in small rings
  • bunch of coriander, roughly chopped
  • FILLING TACO
  • 8 small tortilla wraps
  • 1 tin of Sea Tales tuna
  • 1 iceberg lettuce
  • 1 red onion, cut in rings
  • 2 avocados, pitted and diced
  • 1 red cili pepper, cut in rings
  • 1 lime, cut in wedges
  • extra vergin olive oil
  • salt and pepper

Recipe - steps

  • 1 For the dressing, mix the juice and zest of the lime with the yogurt. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Set the dressing aside.
  • 2 Prepare the salsa by mixing the diced tomatoes, garlic, spring onions, cilantro, and a drizzle of olive oil. Season the salsa with salt.
  • 3 Heat the tortillas in a dry pan for about 1 minute per side until they are warmed through. Remove them from the pan and arrange them on a serving board or platter.
  • 4 Assemble the tacos by placing a leaf of iceberg lettuce on each tortilla, followed by tuna, the prepared salsa, red onion rings, diced avocado, and sliced red chili pepper. Fold the tortillas in half to create tacos.
  • 5 Garnish with reserved cilantro, and serve with the yoghurt lime dressing on the side.
