Recipe - ingredients

  • 4 bagels, fresh or baked in the oven
  • 2 cans of tuna in water
  • 1/2 shallot, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tbsp. capers, roughly chopped
  • 1/2 tsp. Dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp. mayonnaise
  • 1 handful of parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 handful of lettuce
  • 1/4 cucumber, cut in 12 slices
  • 1/2 red onion, sliced in half rings
  • pepper and salt

Recipe - how do you make it

Tuna bagel with cucumber, red onion and capers. Perfect as lunch or snack. This recipe is inspired by Bagels & Beans, where they use our Fish Tales tuna!

Recipe - steps

  • 1 Make the tuna spread by mixing the drained tuna with the shallot, capers, mustard, mayonnaise and parsley. Season with salt and pepper.
  • 2 Cut the bagels horizontally in half and divide the lettuce over the 4 bagels and put the tuna spread on top. Garnish the bagel with cucumber and red onion.
